We are pleased to announce that the HM Treasury has confirmed that in consultation with the European Commission, the provision of insurance by freight forwarders, will not now fall within the Insurance Mediation rules,when dealing with commercial business. (Excluding personal and household goods)

Freight Action is now able to offer commercial insurance cover directly to their clients.

This service had been offered by us since 1989, but was suspended by the EU directive in 2005.

The Insurance Mediation Directive Excemption for Freight Forwarders has now come into force.

We therefore will be pleased to offer commercial clients our services in obtaining prompt, competitive insurance quotations for the business we are handling for them.            

We are pleased to be able to reinstate this service, which we consider an important part of our service package.
